You just inspired me... on our car trips to the Land of Grits, we pass a sign at one of the highway exits for the "Smyrna Opera House" and every time we pass it, I wonder to myself how such a tiny town in a seemingly uncultured stretch of rural Delaware would have ever supported an opera company. Sure enough, they didn't but it does have an interesting history!
