I do enjoy the break from the unrelenting heat of summer and cooler temps where it is possible to be outside during the day. We're having beautiful foliage beginning to turn since having a wetter summer than usual. Halloween is a big thing for me and I enjoy that - actually wish we could continue w. OctVEMber and OctCEMber and forget the holidays and keep on celebrating Halloween where it was more than a month each year.

I don't much care for the flavor of pumpkin or pumpkin spice; cinnamon reminds me more of Christmas than Autumn. That said, I don't mind anyone else who enjoys pumpkin spice and want it in everything from coffee to pastries to air fresheners. Whatever makes a person happy, I certainly wish them more of it :) A friend is in heaven w. all the pumpkin pastries and cookies and such, and I smile bc she is happy and is sharing her joy. I don't have to taste but I appreciate her sharing the joy.

Autumn is the best.

Best time to take a walk with a camera too!

A sunny crisp autumn day's one of my favourite things. Bonfire night, fallen conkers - what's not to love?

I'm sad to say that in the UK, pumpkin pie is virtually unknown - as, indeed, is pecan pie. It is indeed a tragic state of affairs. How about California, Oregon, and Washington go independent, and the UK allies itself with the New West? (Common immigration policy, too, so anyone can move freely for any purpose)

But then I would have to get a passport to go to Disneyland. :o
