A few new sounds purchased today, although two of them are reissues. First of all from Snoopers an LP that was release Autumn 2005 by Dj Ordeal with Vitamin B12 called "Usher / Guitango / Usherette" for a small £3 from the usual Lp corner. This curious beast is loosely based on quotes from Poe's "Fall of The House of Usher",throwing in shards of 40's jazz piano, cheesy instrumentals, and electronic horror movie soundscapes, with cheeky and cheerful interludes. It is quite bizarre and unsettling in the company of these snatches of monologue which shifts the context, even with Dobro samples kicking in at the end. Vitamin B12's take on the affair on side two is a ghostly pre-static whine, a glacial atonal whimsical, inquisitive meandering style of trinket-like sonic patter, winding into an other-worldly,epiphanous vortex scrabbling around after in the waters for remnants.

From Resident the reissue of Ciccone Youth "The Whitey Album",basically Sonic Youth's tribute Lp to Madonna which i have on LP,but the Cd has bonus tracks as well. From Essential, as it was cheapest there, the reissue of Wire's "Chais Missing" CD and finally Boards of Canada "The Campfire Headphase" (Warp).

From David's Comics a new Danny Noble comic "Stuck In A Van With A Band" for £1.99,and two books from in the sale at Brighton Books "THe Bedside Guardian 23" and "The Pork Butcher" by David Hughes for a cheap £1.50.
