Left early on Tuesday to get to Barnet for a cereal survey which i wanted to get done quickly so i could be back in Brighton to complete a yogurt tasting survey, First time i been to Barnet and not impressed with the place. Natives are quite friendly though. Started at 9.30am and finished by 1pm. At least a fairly direct route to New Barnet via smelly old First Capital Connect Trains from Brighton, via Farrindon,Moorgate and alighting at New Barmet sation.

Well arrived in Brighton about 3pm and it was still gloroiusly sunny.Watched all the lovely brighton belles go by in their summer clothes and revealing tops etc etc.

Popped into Snoopers for a quick review of the stall.Been tidied up and looking at its best. Just how long it will stay that way will remain to be seen! The next meeting is this Wednesday.

Picked up a vinyl Lp from the usual stall that has tons of the stuff for the standard cheap price of $3. Dub Syndicate "Ital Breakfast" (On U Sound) in green vinyl!!! Great dubby reggae with a superb late seventies feel despite being from a later period.

Completed all the yogurt taste tests by 7pm. Glad to see that one out of the way.

Went to bed early for a change as it was quite a long day, leaving at seven in the morning and finishing at seven in the evening.Still at least the two jobs totalled two hundred quid plus expenses.

Today i had a damn supervisor with me on behalf of Sin-or-Hate (or Synovate,London end) and i arrived for our meet at The Dumb Waiter a bit late 'caus i thought it was at eleven this morning not ten o clock. Bugger it. These half-yearly accompianments i find rather unnessary and a damn right hindrance. We did two interviews with Annette Tibble, the supervisor,in tow - but unlike some (such as Ruth) was a stickler for everything to be spot on, probing to be tighter than a gnat's arse, and to leave at least 4 doors between each successful interview. Oh yes - one of those types! A real pain in the proverbial posterior, eevn down to keeping spot on with the quotas. Oh please give me a break - live in the real world lady!!

She even had the temerity to write on her report i was "too laid-back" when it came to keeping time, attitude, etc.Well this is Brighton love - it's a laid back city ,we do take thimgs at a more relaxed pace. So what!! I am laid back. To be otherwise would be too stressful.

I was glad to get rid of her.

This evening i saw another of those free films at The Friends Meeting House."Argument" by Anthony McCall and Andrew Tyndall (USA 1978) is a legendary and provocative essay and trenchant analysis of media ideology which seems more pertinant than ever in the wake of the problems of the middle east. Three male voices dissect one edition of the New York Times through a series of locked-off shots, revealing the prejudice and latent content content of news and advertisements, reading images as textx and presenting text as images.Fashion photgraphs are used as a starting point for a political investigation of news, advertising, and images of masculinity - while at the same time, the filmmakers reflect on their own position and the possibility of radical film practice.Influenced by both the American and European avant-gardes,notably Godard and Hollis Frampton,"Argument" is stylistically beautiful and relentless in its enquiry.

Afterwards dashed down to The Gloucester Arms for our fortnightly stallholders meeting. Rowan,Brad and Ian was there already, and there was only five of us instead of the usual eight. Nicely surprised how well i did again over the last 2 weeks,a total of £38.80 (after the usual rent) meaning i had shifted £51.80 of stuff!

Rowan is hoping to get a new bookcase for the stall and dumping the glass case which is not space efficient.Hopefully with all the ideas thrashed out we should be able to increase sales by greater visibilty of alll stock.

Noticed that stall 27 is empty - that was the cabinet with all the cheap CD's where i purchased quite a few Trojan reggae CD's,and other cheap finds such as the third Liars CD with DVD when it first came out for only £5!!! Sad to see it go all the same.

Tomorrow a visit to the Whitechapel Gallery to see the Outsider Art exhibition which ends at the weekend.Yeah,a bit of a day of for me.
