Just finished the Angela Carter paperback "Fireworks" on the train home this evening. Luckily no long delays,at least it wa a cool ventilated Southern train.Another recent charity shop find is one by Paul Bolwes,a collection of short stories called "Midnight Mass" (Paladin) which i will read tomorrow on my second day on the Gatwick Express.

Other bargains were a book of film scripts of Jean-Luc Godard "Weekend / Wind From The East" from The Heart Foundation shop for £3, and from Sandpiper Books "New York Is Now,The New Wave of Free Jazz" by Phil Freeman (The Telegraph Company) for £4. There was a Richard Meltzer book also available but Stephen had the last copy of it.

The Free Jazz book is one i will definitely devour with interest. Might do an improv playlst soon as well.
