One of the nicest finds in the past week or so was getting the compilation "Clogs" on Peg Records. It is quite a rare one to find. Tracks are:

Side 1
Steeleye span - Captain Coulston
Andy Roberts - Richmond
Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick - The Irish Washerwoman
Steeleye Span - The King
Keith Christmas - Poem
Shirley Collins - Murder Of Maria Marten

Side 2
Steeleye Span - Rave On
Tim Hart and Maddy Prior - I Live Not Where I Love
Spirogyra - Captain's Log
Shelagh McDonald - Rod's Song
Martin Carthy - Lord Randall
Marc Ellington - Yarrow
Andy Roberts - Welcome Home

Not a dud track amongst them. Sublime folk and folk - rock from the early seventies.

The Saga LP "Swinging London" can be found on Vinyl Vulture's site at

Some great 50p Lp's this morning at my usual crate diggin' and here they are as follows:

Harry Stoneham - Hammond My Way (Contour LP 1971) - some great funky tunes by Harry, forget the covers.

Geof Love and His Orchestrea - Your Favourite TV Themes (Music For Pleasure LP 1973) ,Just one track worth having here - a superb funky version of Quincy Jones's "The Theme From Ironside".

"On The Air" (BBC double LP 1982) - spanning 60 years of the BBC this has a few great tracks on it and some so-so. Best is Johnny Dankworth Big Band "Tomorrows World", Millicent Martin "That Was The Week That Was",andThe Scottmen "Nationwide". But only 50p for a double LP it was worth getting for those tracks alone.

The Tiki Tones - Suburban Savage (Dyonisus LP 1997) - looks like a Les Baxter or Martin Denny LP from the cover and is a demented organ driven exotica-come-surf workout. Groovy!

Billy Bang Quartet - Rainbow Gladiator (Soul Note 1981) - a fine contemporray jazz LP from the respected Soul Note label.

The Lonesome Organist - Collector of Cactus Echo Bags (Thrill Jockey LP 1997) - another terrific find and it is now the third i have by him,the other two being CDs.What a wierd title though!!!

A nice collection of interesting sounds.
