Man and Mallard
Nov. 13th, 2006 05:25 pmAnother entry for the WEIRDSOUNDZ site and an LP by Welsh rock band (with proggy influences) Man and a funky track called "Erotica" from the "Revelation" LP.
Picked up three LPs cheap today whilst in Burgess Hill of all places for a £1 each and in nice condition as well.
Mother Mallard "Migration" (Cuneiform 1988) - David Borden's systems music project ,all synths and Riechian and Glass infuenced minimalism.
John Adams "Music From Nixon In China" (Nonesuch 1988) - a highlights LP which i might keep although i have the whole opera on CD.
Deep Purple "Burn" (Purple 1974) - heavy progged rock from the masters of that form.
Popped into Snoopers this morning with some books for the stall from the lucky dip bags from Notting Hill Book and Comic Exchange place, and a couple of LPs. Noticed my other copy of Olodum "Egito Madagascar" LP hadn't sold so now i have two copies on the stall, and the Joyce LP is still there. The Wedgewod set from Mike still hasn't sold nor the Discolator thingy. People are so fickle.
Did buy a compilation of Man's early stuff from Across the Tracks together with "An Introduction To" Quintessence CD.These two covers the years 1969 to 1971,and a classic post hippie period for me.
Busy day tomorrow and another early start and our usuual stall meeting in the evening.
