Well watched Dr.Who and yesterday's Torchwood via the on-demand facility of cable TV. Torchwood going into very dark placss - Excellent!

Started playing the "Anthems In Eden" Folk Box set with the one called "A Midsummer's Night Happening".

The brussel Sprouts are kicking in now from the lunch earlier and - well you know what sprouts do - MAKE YOU FART!!!

Soon off to see Mike [personal profile] coming42 and Ros for a lunctime cold meat meal.

Pressie wise had a bottle of brandy from Lorna, book tokens from Mike and Rosalind, Boots vouchers from Tim and Karen, M&S vouchers as well and a pressie for myslf, the excellent "Anthems In Eden" box set (I know it sounds sad buying a pressie for yorself but nobody else would have got that one for me). Finally upmarket soap bars box set  from GC - i don't know if there is any subliminal message in that.

Best pop album of the year which hadn't got into my 40 is Scritti Politti's "White Bread Black Beer" (Rough Trade). Sublime stuff and Green has still a wonderful smooth warm voice. Might do a 41 to 60 addendum to the list anyway.

This morning playing the "The Record Shop,30 Years of Rough Trade Shops" double CD set.

Long day at Mike and Rosalind's place having cold meat and pickles and champagne and wine, chesse and biscuits, then coffee. Phew! Good, convivial and a lovely day that lasted through to the vening.

He has three cars and Ollie made alot of fuss of me and loves face to face rubbing. A real smoochy cat!

Nice to be home though.
