Belgian Beers
Jan. 21st, 2007 05:40 pmBought some nice Belgian beers from the Trafalgar Wine Shop yesterday with increasing alcoholic kick from 9.4 % ABV, 10.5 % ABV and finally a top notch one at 12 % ABV (Alcohol by Volume) but wisely didn't go for the ultra-strong German lager at 14% ABV which they sell there. They went nice with a great beef lasagne i had and a deliciously cool melon sorbet.Well,L. was out with her friends for the evening. I just love belgain beers , so many different flavours and complex tastes to them.
Today a generally lazy day but did vist Across The Tracks to swap some CD's for an LP by Andrew Cyrille called "What About?" (Get Back LP) a reissue of a BYG/Actuel solo percussion album he recorded in Paris in the late sixties. BYG / Actuel produced some fine free and avant-garde jazz LP's in the sixties, and each one is worth getting.
Our cat,Tiggy , has found another area to sleep much to my annoyance, part of the hi-fi unit, whilst the DVD recorder is not there.
