Chinese Moi

Thanks  towanderingcherie   for this but it looks as though my Chinese name is Shen Tian Wang (which sounds quite appropiate for me) which means "peaceful patth,calm,and serene, looking forward, and expectant." (I forgot to add those as i didn't fully copy everything).

Lewes in Focus

In Lewes today,and picked up a cheque for some work i did for a small market research company. Whilst in Lewes  i popped into Riks Disks and bought two LP's for £2 each, Focus "Focus III" (Polydor 1972) and  A Certain Ratio "To Each" (Factory LP), as well as picked up a couple more Tom Jones Lp's from the sixties at Across The Tracks,specifically "The Atomic Jones" and "13 Smash Hits". This guy was a blue-eyed soul wonder from the Welsh valleys,and until now i had rather underrated him as a soul singer. It was Vinyl Vulture's  totally fascinating website which gave me the lowdown on Tom the Man.  Next for the crate diggin' will be Richard Harris and Dudley Moore.

Focus were featured on a Stuart Maconie playlist some weeks back on his Radio 6 programme when he dd a whole section to proggy albums. Acctualy i did like Focus rather well,and itis nice to hear Focus IIi again. Picking up the double vinyl for £2 in excelent condition is a bargain anyway.
