Today i popped over to Mike's home to lay the ashes of Tiggy in their garden. Ros has a great idea though. She suggested that she would use one of her pot plant containers and put her ashes inside amongst some earth and plant some flowers in the pot,as they have done for their previous cats  that have passed away. So now Tiggy has her own flower bed whcich we can visit anytime we like. I took a small part ofher ashes to put inside a locket which i will keep with me - i know, sentimental bugger that i am. Still, at least she is with her "family" and in her final resting place.

Bon voyage my lovely cat..

On a happier note some more great vinyl and CD finds to extol over, starting off with a great film music compilation by The Roland Shaw Orchestra "Themes For Secret Agents" (Decca Phase 4 LP 19966) from Across The Tracks in an exchange today, and some nice stuff from the boot sale at the station this morning. Anyway link to my WEIRSOUNDZ site for a quick review of this glorious album.

Those from the station were 5 Lp's which came to £6.50, "From Russia With Love" soundtrack (Sunset LP),Manfred Mann's Earth Band  "Angel Station" (Bronze LP 1979), "All Good Clean Fun" (UA LP) - although the cover is tatty with a tear (quite repairable actually)  the vinyl is pristine, across four sides, Rare Earth "Band Together" (Prodigal LP 1978), and David Clayton-Thomas, "self-titled" (Deccal LP) -  originally recorded in 1964 - he was the lead singer with Blood Sweat and Tears five years on from when this LP was recorded.

Some CD's too - Pere Ubu "Why I Hate Woman" (Glitterhouse 2006)  for £5,Billie Holiday "Lady In Satin" (Columbia CD) and Cal Tjader "Our Blues (Fantasy CD) both at £3 each, and a single by The Alarm Clorks "Marie / Gloria" (Norton 7"),all from Rounder Records except for the single from Borderline.

Last night did a PRS down at The Maderia Hotel, and it as one of the best DJ nights i had since it was all soul.funk and R&B flavours from the sixties to the nineties - realmusic for real people stuff. Rolled into bed this Sunday morning at 3 am

Great amusing music Analysis by  [profile] bagrec recently to his poll and somewhat accurate too in his psychological assessment. .This is what he wrote about me when i submiited The Boredoms as my favouirte band, of the moment, "Frenetic Japanese art-punk. Analysis - questing and restless, forever moving on to other areas. Wide open and ultra-receptive to the new, but also gadfly-like not stopping anywhere too long. Noisy and fast and enthusiastic." I think that's a good summation of me - Must fly!!
