This morning i had a SPAM sandwich, and no jokes about Monty Python either, but i use to love spam esp. fried, since L bought some recently. It has been years since i had the stuff ,infact too many to remember. All those SPAM jokes and the Monty Python SPAM song comes flooding back to me - well i just had to smile. Must dig out those old videos of the Pythons as i still have a working video player but lost the remote years ago. Might even upgrade to the DVD's starting with the "Life of Brian",perhaps my favourite Python film. Anyway,SPAM on toasted sandwich makes for a tasty snack whichever way you cut it.

I don't think the marines and sailors should have published sold their stories to the press, but as we live in a celeb-genearted culture i guess it was inevitable. Being paid for it as well does make me wonder if their stories have been embellished to provide a more juicy and dramatic subject, esp. for the tabloids. I don't belieive the MOD has much control over this once they allowed the Marines to go ahead anyway. There could be repurcussions in the Middle East because of this. What next ,a reality show called "I'm a Sailor Get Me Out of Here!".
