SATURDAY night did the DJ PRS survey at The Standard West Street til 2.30 am - met a young lady at the bar called Sarah (very attractive too) as she was interested in what i was doing. I don't think she was staying for the club part downstairs (a pity really). Anyway whilst in the club below the main bar, three gorgious Thai ladies came in,and I danced with one of them and she held me quite close to her ( a bit of mutual attraction here). Later one lovely young lady who wanted a request from the DJ said it was her birthday (27 but looked younger) and so i kissed her on the cheek and she kissed me back. I must admit that most of the music (most of it crap) just wasn't on my mind with all the lovely honeys there.

SUNDAY
A quick nip around the Sunday boot fair this morning before my visit up to Beckenham to do a survey. Picked out some tasty items at £1 each -  some Indian music,"Authentic India!" by the Yasotha Somasundram Ensemble (Sonoton) and  "Right On! Soul hits" (Stereo Gold Award Lp 1972) and a cleaner copy of Dory Previns' "Mythical Kings and Iguanas" LP for 50 pence, and "The World Of Dudley Moore" (Decca LP) for £3.

After Beckenham exchanged some old Lp's for a couple of CD's and an LP at the usual haunt in Notting Hill Gate. The two CD's  are Judee Sill "Abracadabra, The Asylum Years" (Rhino 2006),which is a double CD of her first two albums on Asylum, and at last "Grow Fins, rarities 1965 - 82" by Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band (Revenant 5CD box). The  LP is a much coveted Boosey and Hawkes library music album called "Jazz,Pop,etc" but is mostly jazzy and funky workouts. The generic sleeve design is featured in "The Music Library" book by Fuel Publishing.

MONDAY AM

Took a day off listening to all the new stuff i picked up from the weekend. Too tired from the busy weekend to do anything much - just relax around - actually i feel asleep mid morning (and it wasn't the music that made me fall asleep despite the lovely tones of Judee Sill). I think i need a hoiday to recharge the batteries.

VINYL VIANDS AND SP#15

However i did manage to finish reading Ed Pinsent's excellent "Vinyl Viands" vinyl only Sound Projector and started reading the latest SP  (no.15) which i bought from Rough Trade on my last visit to London, previous to the trip on Sunday.
