FRIDAY

Clearing up paperwork for most of the day,a s well as sending off the results for the car survey I did for EMS. Visited my local for a pint or two early evening and met up with a Vinyl Dealer friend and his Finnish mate, and ended up at The Pond for more beers with the guys from Across The Tracks, including Al.

SATURDAY

A trip to London on a record buying spree and a visit to the Wenlock Arms to meet up with

[personal profile] burkesworks ,but it turned out he didn't get that far and ended up in Leicester. C'est la vie! But did have two lovely pints at the pub , so not all was lost. Ended up in Notting Hill Gate and Portobello Road. At the latter in Intoxica bought two LP's and a single for the small sum of £4.50, and from the other source three CD's from an  exchange and two LPs by Richard Harris. The CDs are Bert Jansch "The Black Swan" (Sanctuary CD),which features the vocals of Beth Orton on two tracks, The Evan Parker ElectroAcoustic Ensemble "The Eleventh Hour" (ECM CD), John Fahey " " (Revenant CD) and Diane Cluck "Macy's Day Bird / Black With Green Leaves" (Important 2CD). plus an LP by Steve Coleman and The Five Elements "Sine Die" (Pangea LP).

A quick snack at Yo Sushi! and then home.

SUNDAY

A morning visit to the boot fair at the station procured some gems album wise, Deodato's "Very Together" (MCA), "Herp Alpert Presents Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66" (Pye International), Slave (Cotillion), Melanie "The Best of  Melanie" (Buddah) and Stan Kenton "Swings" (Capitol)

Later a visit to Eastbourne to do a mystery shop at The Grand Hotel, a drink visit only to the bar , which suited me.
