Uckfield Visit
May. 9th, 2007 08:50 pmToday I popped on to a 29 bus to Five Ash Down ,just outside of Uckfield , to do a Road Users Saisfaction Survey (RUSS) despite the weather being somewhat dull and with periods of sticky drizzly rain. Being a village there was no charity shop to rummage through so just got on with the job. Finished failry quickly as i had a bit of luck getting the range of people on the quota to be interviewed and ,surprisingly, being available.
Afterwards had a pint of beer at the local pub,The Fireman Arms, before catching the bus back.
Then over to Hove to do a Weatherspoons mystery shop. Popped into Fine Records and bought a James Last LP, the very very funky "Well Kept Secret" (Polydor USA LP) with some of the best LA jazzers and session men like Larry Carlton of Crusaders fame,Max Bennett,Jim Gordon and Ernie Watts on sax . So groovy. Nuff said! Four pounds well spent.
This morning my copy of "London" and "Robison In Space" double DVD arrived from Amazon. So will be watching over the weekend.
