Another DVD through the post this morning ,and another foreign film, "Pocket Money" directed by Francois Truffaut via Amazon at a cheap £3 including postage. Will watch over the weekend together with his adaption of "Fahrenheit 451" ,a classic piece of science fiction from the pen of Ray Bradbury.
Talking of movies , in today's Guardian pull out section "Films and Music" a list of the Top Twenty foreign films as voted by readers - and some fine stuff in there which i already have plus others i need to explore- nice to see both "Delicatessen" and "Amelie" in the top twenty - but Eisenstein's "Battleship Potemkin" appears at number 25.
Also a pull out section on the legacy of the Tony Blair years which reminds me of a Frank Sinatra song "My Way" in which he says that he did it his way and "regrets, I had a few". Perhaps a swansong for Tony as well?
Doing some MS work for Service Science, who really do pay well for mystery visits , which includes another visit to Eastbourne's Grand Hotel to check out their leisure facilities. An inclusive fee of £30 for the visit.
Talking of science fiction the results of
bagrec 's poll should be fascinating to read.
