Another Birthday Another Year

Well today its my birthday , so a quiet one, as i decided that un-birthdays are better than birthdays simply because you have 364 un-birthdays to the one.

(oh and if you must ask it is one year above the big fifty)

Well it's been a really wet day. It should not rain  on my birthday ,but it has, and i was going to London this morning for a visrt, and peruse the Tate Modern (and see the Gilbert and George exhibition) , as well as doing some music shopping.

So been in the Evening Star for a few beers and a couple of raspberry flavoured Belgian Lambic beers Delicious to the max.

Our postal service has become substantially worse since i posted his birthday card on the Tuesday before his on the 9th and he still has not received it, so what is going on Royal Mail?

Gosh, i still miss Tiggy. She would have enjoyed this card i think.

Think i will go back to my favourite watering hole now as heard sad news from my bruv  coming42 that Rosalind's  brother (another Mike) has suddenly died at the age of 61.They were living in Spain and Mike and Ros and flying out to the funeral tomorrow  to Malaga airport ,i think.

So i shall defer my visit to London later this month.

Undercurrents

More sober now after my day of drunken debauchery.  Bought a book from Waterstones "Undercurrents" edited by Rob Young , one of WIRE's reviewers. A book which collates quite a few articles from past Wire magazines , so its nice to have them bundled together in a book.

Bought the latest Plan B magazine which has an article about Warp's latest signing Battles. Their CD EP was astounding.

Lambic Downfall

Guess what ? I only sprained my ankle walking down the hill from my place to the pub. A searing pain went up my leg so this evening i put some deep heat rub into it. The weather was  a  bit of a spoiler, hence the extended period in the pub. Belgian lambic beers will be my downfall.

The forecast is for a dry day tomorow,esp London,so i might take my chances and go then, despite having to do a mystery shop in Crawley. I think i would be happier up in London for the day. Thursday is out as i will be in Ashford , Shoreham on Friday and Hove on Saturday. It depends on how my ankle is anyway. I have taken an anti-inflammation medicine  just in case (that being Nurofen).

Two more DVD rentals arrived from LOVEFILM, "Punch Drunk Love" and "Dark City".
