Streatham Visit
Jun. 20th, 2007 10:48 pmIn London today, well actually Streatham this morning, doing a Tesco competitor survey at a Sainsbury's Local, which ended at 2pm - so i had an early start. However it meant i could go shopping later and use some of my vouchers from a recent procurement (you could say). I used a £20 voucher to get a John Coltrame box set "The Complete Village Vanguard Recordings" (Impulse 4CD set) and his "Interstellar Space" album from the detestable HMV - at least the box set was only £22 and not its exhorbitant £47.
Then a tube visit to Notting Hill to pick up a soundtrack LP by Mikis Theodorakis "Z" which contains a killer fuzz guitar funk track called "Cafe Rock" - (for a piddlling £3 - and an excellent Sounds Orchestral compilation "Cast Your Fate to the Wind" (World Record Club Ltd) for a very cheap 50 pence!! A review of the "Z" soundtrack is at my Weirdsoundz site.
Still have another £20 in vouchers to spend another day.
In all a useful day.
