After a few long days a much easier day potting around my local town doing a survey started yesterday morning. But first off to see my brother as we are going out for a snack, perhaps at the Marina, and then its back to strreet surveys again, might do near the library or the new Sainsbury's in London Road (or even the Marina) as yesterday near Churchill Square wasn't very good for stopping people.

I was looking aaround the internet to find out what has happened to places in my formative school years in Rugby up to the early seventies and i found this via Wikipedia of ll places -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilton_School

I was educated there between 1967 and 1972 when it was known as Herbert Kay High School (which got nicknamed as  "Sherbert Dab") . The girls school next door (which came later) was a bit of a novelty, as we had been, for the most patr, pupils of a boy's school. It remained so for many years until the girl school was built late.1969 (if i remmebr right). The girl's school had originally been somewhere else in Rugby but the local council in their infinite wisdom decided to move it and build a new one right next to us. Now it is a co-ed , (and a comprehensive school, not the original grammar school when I attended)  it will not be the same!
