A quiet day yesterday clearing paperwork which kinda got left to one side and was mounting up. However did get to meet GC who has come back from her holidays with a bad case of sciatica and is taking pain killers for it and Vallium. Don't go too havy on the Vallium love!!

Meanwhile, I popped into a couple of charity shops but only came out with nothing of interest. Decided that finishing of the paperwork would be better than getting depressed not finding a good vinyl dig. Sometimes you get days like these.

However i did download for free a rough cut of Revolvo's next album from their website. They were one of the artists spun by Will "Sumsuch" on Thursday night.

Today some interesting finds vinyl wise, four albums for a total of eight pounds -

Various "A Sample of Blue Notes" (Blue Note) - some really fine tracks here!!  Lee Morgan's "Sidewinder", Kenny Burrell "Midnight Blue", Jimmy Smith "The Sermon" - need I go on. Class all the way.  Mind you there has really never been a bad album from that label.

Deodato "in Concert with Airto" (CTI) - great version of  Steely Dan's "Do It Again" and a funky workout called "Tropea"

Chaquito "Viva Chaquito" (Fontana) -  Two funky latino grooves "Special Project" and "Viva"

and strangest of all
The New Muzak "Reveille" (Muzak) which has a fine groovy "Mini Skirt" and a cool "Hooked On A Feeling" and i assume this is from the Muzak Corporation of USA and hence like a library LP not for sale. Bollocks!!
