Well, stupid courier company delivered some work to me yesterday to the wrong address - next door's basement which has a locked gate and step s leading down to the barred front door. They obviously chucked the package down there ("left safe" my arse!) without realising that i am next door. So this morning to get the package (a job i am doing tomorrow in London) i lifted by brute strength the gate off its latch, a mere inch, (with lock still intact) and walked down to retreive it. The research company have been told and to give the courier a roasting!!

A trip to Worthing to do two mystery shops at Officers Club and Jones The Bootmakers for Retail Maxim. Whilst in the town i visited the charity shops and Music Mania. Very little to offer at the charity shops but Music Mania were having a vinyl sale on with albums either a quid or two quid depending which box you looked at.

Picked up the following nine albums --

The Stone City Band - Out From The Shadow (Gordy 1983)
Cameo - Single Life (Club 1985)
Staple Singers - Be What You Are (Stax 1973)
Various - What's Happening Statesde (Stateside 1987) - collection of classic soul
The Tams - Best Of The Tams (123 Records)
Bobby Bland - The Best Of Bobby Bland (MCA 1981)
The Four Tops - Still Waters Run Deep (Motown 1970)
Ahmad Jamal - Ahmad Jamal's Alhambra (Marble Arch 1967)
Bert Kaempfert - Tropical Sunrise (Poydor 1977)

All originals  from a dealer who is moving more to CD's than vinyl, hence the cheapness, although the Staple Singers LP is a bit crackly it will do for now.
