A trip to London yesterday to do a Tesco competitor survey outside Sainsbury Local Streatham, London without the staff at the store knowing that i am around. So had to work stealth mode grabbing customers as they walked out. Only achieved ten interviews out of twenty - they are not the easiest to do. Prefer being inside to do it but being a competitor store we had no permission to go inside.

Anyway afterwards usual trip to West London to go in search of vinyl goodies. Before thoughm I did find one nice jazz album in Streatham for £3 -  The Jack Sharpe Big Band "Catalyst" (Frog 1987) playing a tribute to that great British jazzman Tubby Hayes.

Visited Portobello Road first, and viisted both Intoxica! and my new found shop Shout Out (some great psych and garage stuff there) and then to Notting Hill Exchange as i had a few albums and two CD's plus singles to exchange for more interesting stuff.

So in order of purchase -

The Jack Sharpe Band - Catalyst (Frog LP 1987)
Equinox - Hard Rock (Boulevard LP 1973)
Various Artists - Take The Brain Train To The Third Eye (Dionysus LP 2000) a great collection of American folk, garage and pysch tracks
Chris Harwood - Nice To Meet Miss Christine (Finders Keepers LP 2006)
KPM Library "Afro Rock" (Tummy Touch LP 2007) - reissue of great KPM library album from 1973
JSD Band - Travelling Days (Cube LP 1973) - funky folk track on Side 2 track one.
Jose Feliciano - A Bag Full of Soul,Folk,Rock and Blues (RCA Dynovoice 1966) - superb album.
Sadao Watanabe - Elis (Elektra LP 1988) - latin jazz fusion
Yesterdays New Quintet "Deja Vu" / The Platinum Pied Pipers "Ridin' High" (Ubiquity 12")

A nice liitle haul. Made up for the crap day.
