Sunday Boot Fair Part1
Jul. 13th, 2008 09:40 amFirst off some singles from this morning's boot fair -

Manfred Mann and Mike Hug - The Michelin Theme (Michelin)
One sided single and a surprisingly funky jazzy track it is too!
Black Velvet - Clown (Beacon)
Don't care for the A side but the flip has a real psychy edge to it.
The Ides of March - Vehicle (Warner Bros)
Great brassy soul rock in that BS&T mould.
Cast of Ipi Tombi - Ipi Tobi (Galaxy)
Quite liking this so now i am wondering if the LP is good?
Steppenwolf - For Ladies Only / Sparkle Eyes (Dunhill)
Steppenwolf - Screaming Night Hog / Corina Corina (Dunhill)
Two not bad singles by the Wolf.
Afro Dimensions - If You Don't Want My Love (Jay Boy)
Nice funky soul single
Reuben Bell - Baby Love (De Luxe)
Good cover of Supremes classic
The Elgins - heaven Must Have Sent You (V.I.P)
Classic Motown soul number
Ultrafunk - Living For The City / Who Is He and What Is He To You? (Contempo)
Double slice of funky covers stuff
J.Gwangwa & African Explosion - African Sausage (Jamal)
Had to buy it for the title alone. Surprisingly good reggaeish Afro funk.
Vanilla Fudge - The Windmills of Your Mind / Lord In The Country (Atco)
Haven't decided if i like this or not as yet.
Bought some albums too but will post these up later today as will be working - yeah on a Sunday!
