Well it was that time of the month - the London Brillo up in Islington at Filthy McNasty's pub last night.

Just three platters at the end -

Howard Tate - It's Too Late (Turntable 45)
A great slice of soul from Lloyd Price's label. Must check out more on this imprint.

Janis Ian - Insanity Comes Quietly To The Structured Mind (Verve LP)
From her "For All The Seasons Of Your Mind" album a very young Janis going somewhat psych-folkie mirroring my state of mind at the time.

Bob Rogers - Seven Kings (Chapter One LP)
Good driving Hammond organ fingersnapper from a very cheesy album otherwise.

I did enjoy their Thai Green Curry beforehand. Spicy and highly recommended.

It would have been better if the pub actually had some real ale  (Black Sheep Ale) but a decent Guiness and a couple of free ones made up for it.,plus hearing some strange sounds i have not heard of before, and hence blew my mind, meant it was a journey well spent.

That Can track is amazing. Only got it on the CD ,which i haven't heard for ages and no wonder i did not  recognise the track. "ALL GATES OPEN"   - will play it tonight.
