Evening Star

Another job done in Hove yesterday and afterwards saw GC who was working at Brighton station. I said to her to pop inti the Evening Star for a drink after she finished as i would be going there next.

It is my favourite pub in the area plus it is very local to me and the majority of the people there are friendly and convivvial.

I had a pint of their own Porter Ale (5.5% ABV) and then GC arrived.We ,met a guy called Chris who took a fancy to GC. She had a stout and i then proceeded to have another, this time a Belgian Kriek ale (4.8% ABV),a cherry flavoured concoction and finally a third of the same ale. By then i felt peckish and decided to go home. GC left 10 mins before me.

Definitely a Brillo pub!

The Weekend Playlist

I for one don't think that all good music died in 1977 or whatever year you want to put on it. Far from it, but you rarely see it in the mainstream pop world. The best is on the fringes as it has always been. Also,not all real ale drinkers are stuck in the past or just go to one restaurant for that "special event".
