Beer!

I had a few German beers at the Evening Star today which i don't usually drink as i am way too much into Belgian ones, but Aventinus (8.2% ABV) is the best German beer i have tried. Three of them was enough for me!

During the week though my tipple had been Sierra Nevada Bigfoot (9.5% ABV) which is like a barley wine but no longer on tap for the time being at the pub,but Mat informs me that another favourite of mine will be back on soon,the Belgian Kasteel Triple (10.5 % ABV). Oh and they just had the uber-strong Dark Star Imperial Stout in for Xmas (11.2 % ABV). Some of this will be bought for Xmas!

Sunday Lunch

A good Scandi-roast meal today down at the Northern Lights eaterie and bar. Yummy food and gratis to boot! A couple of beers to wash it all down with.

Picked up two 12" 45s as well plus a reissue of a good solid soul / funk LP from 1973 which had Gwen Guthrie as vocalist before her "Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But The Rent" mega smash years later.
