Brighton Brillo, The Quadrant Pub (Dec 2nd) Playlist

Last night after a slight oversight by the landlord,Dan,at the Quadrant, i had a very good evening spinning he old black vinyl. It was meant to start at 5.30pm to catch the going home from work crowd, but Dan had forgot all about it despite it being clearly written in his diary. He had to scramble at 6pm , after other staff turned up to relieve him,to get the decks from the lock-up next to the pub. Then he could not find the needles for the decks. That meant i had to whip home to pick up mine , and consequently,did not start DJing til 7pm. Finished at 11pm, but still got paid Fifty quid for a normal five hour set.

The punters really enjoyed the set and i got some great reactions from customers. Rick (from the Evening Star crowd) and two of his mates turned up as well. I went back with them at midnight to savour some more good grooves at their digs round the back of the Hells Kitchen shop.More about that in a separate blog.

It was also the twelth First Tuesday Lunch Club held back at the La Tasca restaurant. It has been going for a year with GC and myself being there at every meeting. Hopefully Mike coming42will be able to join us,since he has missed the last three i think.
