Christmas Rant
Dec. 17th, 2008 10:34 amChristmas is just a week away and got no pressies yet. I must admit i hate this time of the year as work is not as fruitious and Janauary is a quiet month workwise meaning that financially it is stretching (eating into my savings) ,and with the recession, eevn more tight. L does not realise this and is expecting something big. Unfortuately if i do that something else will have to go by the wayside. C'est la vie.
Yesterday i did a survey in the Orange store in Brighton. Met GC and Ruth Goldstein, whom i haven't seen for ages, and has had no work for a year. Well if you do stick to just a few companies you will find it sticky in the current enviroment. Spread yourself around like GC and myself and hopefully you will be fine.
Having said that my next major work day is not til Jan 8th!
Talking of GC, she is going on holiday abroard for a week from Sunday, which she admits she can ill afford, but did it on a whim.
Christmas songs is another hate of mine- most are totally rubbish and it's only the Greg Lake one i like. I hate to hear them on the radio , in the shops,on TV and anywhere i unfortunatelly find myself being bombarded by it!
Christmas is also the silly season in which too many people get too drunk, relationships are strained to the max, and overstretched on credit ,and blah blah blah blah...NO I AM NOT A MISERABLE GIT but i think i would prefer that Xmas did not exist, full stop!
