Last night did a mystery shop at Charles Street for TNS. Had a double vodka and cioke, but beforehand nipped into the Evening Star for a half of the 1872 Porter.

This morning a freezingly cold visit to the station car boot fair which i didn't stay long - too damn cold!  However picked uo three albums a quid a pop -

Stevie Wonder - Fulfillingness' First Finale (Motown)

A little bit crackly but plays fine. "Boogie On Reggae Woman" being the hit single from it.

The Biddu Orchestra - Rain Forest (Epic)

UK disco and funky orchestral stuff from 1976,and a bit cheesy perhaps but i love it!. Yo,jump for joy!

Bo Hansson "Lord Of The Rings" (Charisma)

Classic prog-rock interpetation of the J.R.R Tolkien saga. A nice minty copy to replace my crackly old one which will go back to a charity shop.

So some excellent credit crunch bargains.

Finished listening to the Biddu Orchetra Lp and the Stevie Wonder one whilst having a coffee, and now onto Bo Hansson's "Lord Of The Rings" which i have played tracks from at Prognosis with the scratchy old copy (with also a not so nice cover as this one). Next Prognosis at the Great Eastern will be next Sunday (15th) for those who would like to pop in.

The station boot fair book man who is a regular at the Star has his 55th on the 26th and he wants me to do a  psychy proggy comp for the pub on that night,as he knows i am in to sixties psychedlia,  garage amd mod sounds plus smatterings of prog-rock. Not a problem. So Evening Star 7pm on that date!
