Thursday was better than expected with no rain as forecast. Popped out to post nine packages from my sales at the Discogs site. Sorted out somne other CDs and vinyl for exchanging. Picked up the following Lp's at Across The Tracks.

Various "The Bombay Jazz Palace" (Outcaste 2001)

Various indian tabla and raga influenced music from mostly jazzers but includes "Acka Raga" by Shocking Blue.

Terry Reid "The Most of Terry Reid" (Music For Pleasure  1969)

This album is produced by the once ubiquitous Mickie Most and.includes the funky "Superlungs My Supergirl" which Donovan also covered. It's on "Barabajagal" which was recently repressed  on vinyl.I have a cheap original copy on order.

That "Superlungs" track appeared on a a fairly recent EMI "Scorched Earth" CD compilation which selects some tasty funky rock tunes.I hope to try and get all the tracks from that comp in vinyl form.

I also have this LP by Terry Reid in my collection.

River (Atlantic 1973)

Haven't played this folk-rock LP for ages. Must dig it out again for a fresh listen.

A potted biog of him is at Wikipedia here -

Lady Luck

Lady Luck must have shining on me today.First this morning just before 8 am i popped over to the station to check the times of trains and just outside the station by one of the posts i find a fresh £20 note on the ground which i instantly  pick up in a flash.I was going to go up to London via the coach but realise i would not make it in time to catch it  at Preston Circus. Thus the note  I found came in handy tto go by train.

It was too early to go by train until after 9pm so i walked back home and managed to do almost an hour of sunbathing, as it's quite  a suntrap at the back of the house. After nine i decided to get ready to go to London and on leaving the house found the weather totally changed. It became very misty and cold as the mixture of warm air and cold sea created such a thick mist. So how lucky was I getting the sun tannning done before the weather changed? Cool!

Arrived in Bromley at 11am and it was a dry sunny,if windy, day. Checked the charity shops but there was very little vinyl and most did not have any. Sigh!

Better in Brighton really.
