It is not surprising that charities are finding it difficult to obtain donations from people as the recession bites in and that most vinyl is being traded on Ebay,Discogs or boot sales rather than given to charities. Personally i would not give vinyl or CD's to Oxfam and prefer local charities for such giveaways. Fact is i have very little to give away and the last i did it was the Martlets Hosapice, and if i do have any i would rather give to friends like Phil,Bongolia or Flytipper. I also prefer selling on Discogs and using my Paypal income to buy other vinyl.

Perhaps Oxfam should start offering money for donations to keep the flow of stuff coming in to their shops.

Haven't sorted out the records for tonight. I was going to do it yesterday but time seem to flew by. Posted two vinyl LPs form Discogs sales, and posted up the last flyers for tonight's gig and then sorted out some paperwork. Then it was evening.

Tomorow I have a visit to Wakehurst Place for Retail Insight and on Wednesday Table at My Hotel,Brighton for the same company.Tuesday is the postponed FTLC meeting , and i wonder if my brother will be coming for that. Tomorrow it's his birthday so i need to get something for him today.

One way or another we are quite busy.

Finally picked up a copy of the current Shindig magazine but yet to read it although the article about the old 70's magazine Zig Zag looks fascinating. I remember it as being the best of the rock mags in the seventies and late sixties. I use to have a few copies of it many years ago. I guess now it is as collectable as Oz magazine.
