Still trying to get round Hegel's "Philosophy of Right" , so it will require a few reads befor i ansorb it, but luckily i have a reader which helps alot. Picked up a copy of Jean-Francois Lyttard's " The Differend,Phrases In Dispute" via Amazon the other day. Book arrived today.
Yesterday did a mystery shop in Littlehampton. Did look at the charity shops there but nothing enthralled me to purchase. Well it is not a place known for its more esoteric hotbeds of intellectual pursuits, whether it be music, arts or philosophy.
Once again Mark, (my philosophical friend) has exposed my general ignorance in phiosophical matters and related subjects - so i really do need to retain what i read to try be on a par with him. Perhaps i am deluding myself but i do aspire towards his great knowlege of culture and philosophy he retains.
I was going to go to London today but it looks like it will be tomorrow now. I have a few items to get rid of, including books and some vinyl items. The MVE branch in Notting Hill has a poor philosophy section but they are pretty good on history and related areas. I might even take a trip down to Charing Cross area for some books - it depends on how much time i have got.
