Bexhill Visit
May. 9th, 2010 03:15 pmFriday afternoon had a trip to Bexhill. I was doing a mystery shop at Somerfield for ESA. Afterwards, i perused the charity shops in the town. Most of them didn't have anything that inspired me, whether it was books or vinyl, until i popped into a local hospice one. They were selling vinyl at only ten pence a pop. I bought six of them, checking condition of course before i handed over my sixty pence worth of sheckles.
Four of the albums were from the 80s mind you including the excellent "Dare" by the Human League, a Swing Out Sister LP and one by Shalamar. However the pick of the bunch was the compilation "Nice Enough To Eat" (Island 1969) - a claasic comp which has a number of fine tracks including KIng Crimson's "21st Century Schizoid Man".

Quite disappointed with the book side of things. All the chazzers had very mainstream stuff which i wouldn't even touch.
Happy with the album finds though.
