Ars longa, Vita brevis
Jul. 1st, 2010 05:38 pmIt has been another warm day and a morning i have been doing the Malibu Babe sunbathing.
Posted off those records late yesterday just before the post office closed and hence no queue to deal with. This morning posted off a book from Play Trade as well.
Finished reading the "Romantic Writing" text book for the OU course A210 "Approaching Literature". Will probably sell it the next i visit to MVE in Notting Hill which might be next Wednesday. I may have to go back to Slough as well to do one more quota , which i don't mind doing as i was one quota short originally.
Tomorrow i am in Seaford with GC , so perhaps a chance , if we get time , to peruse the charity shops there.
July 17th is my next visit to the Northern Lights, so i will need to conjure up a poster before then.
Oh , and the quotation "Ars longa, vita brevis" is a Latin translation of an Ancint Greek aphorism by the philosopher, Hippocrates, which is "Art is long, life is brief".
