In Kent

Well here i am in Kent with my cousin Tim. Took a bus journey on Saturday morning using the wonderful Explorer ticket (for a mere £7) all the way to sleepy Teynham. Took a 29 bus to Tunbridge Wells and then from there an Arriva 7 bus to Maidstone and then a 333 bus which goes through Teynham towards Faversham. So it took about four hours but it was the cheapest method of getting to Kent.

I am probably staying til Thursday as i am beginning to realise i really find villages just way too quiet for me and i am beginning to miss the buzz and sparkle of a city like Brighton.

At least Tim makes me laugh, and he knows his music - well indie music at least , and would be a wicked member of a pub quiz team when it comes to sports and indie music.

He also does a wicke dhot chilli dish!

Last night we watched the penultimate episode of the current Spooks series. Tim likes his sport including  football and his famous Chelsea, and he was praying that he would still have Sky Sports on for the football this evening. Well he has and we are watching Spurs v. Inter Milan (Spurs are 1 - 0 up).

Anyway second half has started and thus i shall sign off for now.

Spurs

Spurs won 3-1 with a magnificent performance against the current Euro Champions this evening. It was a joy to watch and Gareth Bale was outstanding despite not getting a goal himself but as supplier to his team mates. One of the best games i have seen live on TV.

I have instructed Rick The Hat to sell off my other records at his pad except for two bags of LPs that i still hope to keep. But like he says , cutting back now will make me stronger and hone my vinyl tastes in the future. Material things can be a millstone round your neck and sometimes a massive clearout is good for the soul. The money from such a clearout will be helpful anyway.

Amazingly,the weather is quite mild down here in Kent so we are not into Brass Monkey weather yet.
