I finally finished watching the Thrill Jockey DVD "Looking For A Thrill" in which musicians and fans discuss their musical epiphanies which could be a record or artist or other thing. Really fascinating but would be a very long watch in one session - roughl;y 4 hours of stuff but as all the proceeds from the sale of the DVD to celebrate Thrill Jockey's Ten Yearsd in businees is going to Greenpeace it is a disk i highly recommend - even ethically.
Noted interviews on the disk are with Sam Prekop,Fred Anderson,Von Freedman,Ira Kaplan,Edith Frost,Bundy K. Brown,Steve Albini,Hamid Drake,Yoshimi,Thurston Moore,Alan Licht,John McIntyre and many more.
Forgot to mention that Ebay sales i made afforded me to buy a CD through Ebay which i received today. Rob Ellis "Music For The Home" (Leaf CD 2000. Mostly short instrumentals that are electronic vignettes and chilled dreamscapes. Lovely.
