Back to Sin City!
Mar. 5th, 2011 11:28 amThursday I travelled back to Brighton on the usual bus route. It was a nice sunny yet cold day but I felt elated coming back to my favourite sin city. I was beginning to get a sense of ennui if I stayed in Kent for another week. I had to get away.
On the way I stopped off in Tunbridge Wells to have lunch at The Opera House (A Weatherspoons pub) and had a beef casserole and a pint of Dark Star.

I then had an early dinner at Hailsham at the George for a curry and a drink.(this being another Weatherspoons pub).

So with those delays I arrived in Brighton at around 7 pm.
Friday morning I posted off three sets of Cds from various sales made online. I did a mystery shop in Churchill Square and then went up to London for the day.
I had a meeting to do somewhere near the Oval and earned £25 cash in hand plus expenses. I then went via the tube up to Pimlico to walk to Millbank to visit the Tate and then to Notting Hill to exchange some old books.
I got a tenner in exchange and bought one book and five 7” singles -
Introducing Marquis De Sade (Icon Books)
Orchestra Harlow & Johnny Pacheco - L’Amento De Un Guajiro (Fania)
Firstborn - The Mood Club (Larkin)
Flywheel - Nemoy (Bonzai)
Stoned Soul Picnic - Hip Joint (Blow It Hard)
Nostalgia 77 with Keith & Julie Tippett - Film Blues (Tru Thoughts)
I shall play these come the April Northern Lights gig.
