Books On The Go
May. 4th, 2011 07:48 pmI am starting to read “A Life of Montaigne” by Sarah Bakewell (Vintage Books) as he is the first diarist to look inward to himself and more than just write down the happenings of the world around him, unlike Samuel Pepys.
Finished reading the German Philosophy book this morning, so now I look forward to visiting Waterstones in Canterbury tomorrow to pick up another paperback book.
Other books I am reading at the moment are -
Jeremy Paxman “The English”
“The QI Book of The Dead” - great book to dip into occasionally
“The QI Second Book of General Ignorance” - ditto
and
“Hume”, A Guide For The Perplexed” (Continuum)
Been quite warmer today so did most of my reading outside in the garden. Tomorrow is a mystery shopping day.
