Books and Z List Atrocities
May. 20th, 2011 10:35 pmPicked up my pipe tobacco from the newsagent in Faversham today, and a dead cheap copy of a Jeremy Clarkson paperback for 25 pence from a charity shop, before travelling to Sittingbourne.
Not much happened today, but good weather for a bit of sunbathing in the back garden.
Been reading the Theodore Adorno book “The Culture Industry” , and in conjunction with Voltaire's “Candide”, Georges Bataille's “Eroticism” and a book on the German polymath Goethe. I always seem to have more than one book on the go.
Thursday night ,down at the Dover Castle, they had a very minor celeb eating and drinking,One Z listed plonker called Kerry Katona. Glad I was not there, and Tim think he would have been banned if he saw her, spouting expletives and derisions!
Roll on Wednesday when I will be doing a round trip to Maidstone, Chatham and Gillingham on a mystery shopping excursion.
