Serendipity and Books
Jun. 15th, 2011 09:54 amSerendipity smiled on me on Sunday evening in a surprising location whilst my face was lashed with wind and rain. On my way to the Northern Lights to get my taxi expenses for Saturday night, I found in a puddle a rain sodden ten pound note , in the gutter, a few yards away from the place in Little East Street.
I put it into my wallet between two old receipts to dry it.
I then went to the Evening Star to meet some friends.
It paid for my journey back to Kent on the Monday.
Started reading a Sebastian Faulks novel I bought in a shop in Maidstone that is closing down. 75% of its normal price, “A Week In December” (Vintage)
Below is just some of my reading material I have read or will read. Some library books as well
