Standing Still, Not Really
Jun. 21st, 2011 11:20 pmWell after doing a few shops in Sittingbourne, Faversham, Ashford and Maidstone and back, I finally got off to Brighton on the 5.20 pm bus, after having a free meal courtesy of Iceland. I would have gone on the Tuesday morning but GC wanted me sooner. She is moving to Seaford on the Wednesday and I am helping to load up the valuable trinkets into her car that day.
I arrived in Brighton about 9pm and needed a can of strong lager to quench my thirst and relax with. It was followed by two strong coffees , before I retired to bed. I went out like a light.
Sunday on Channel 4 I watched the remake of “The Day The Earth Stood Still” featuring Keanu Reeves, originally a 1951 B movie classic. It is a good remake and in many ways is preferable to the original. Often the original is better but on this occasion I think the remake has the edge. This time the movie had an ecological twist to the tale.

GC needs a new computer so Saturday we will be sorting one out. Wi-fi and bells and whistles, as her current desktop is painfully slow and now is no longer recognising the plug and play keyboard. Basically it is fucked!
This evening we had a lovely curry take away with sag aloo and pilau rice , etc. Delicious quality Indian food.
Big day tomorrow , as it is the huge move to Seaford, so possible next blog will be Thursday.
