Proper Music
Jul. 5th, 2011 11:44 pmLife seems to be complicated at times when you are pulled in different directions Specifically when my time seems to be split between Seaford and Teynham. I seem to be in demand. Out of all this I do need some “me” time, but I would not deny my time to either station across this hinterland of care and friendship.
Tim is still drinking way to much for my liking, but then I cannot really say too much, as I do like a drink myself. However his state of health is much lower than mine as demonstrated when we were walking back from the Dover Castle this evening. I was striding way in front with my gait and he found it difficult it keep up with my perambulation.
Thursday cousin has to go to Canterbury Hospital after his visit to Sittingbourne earlier today. They re-bandaged his hand but were concerned about one of his swollen fingers, and hence, his visit to a consultant Thursday. Normally it would take months to see a consultant, so Tim believes, and he is worried that it might be something worse than just damaged knuckles.
No use speculating till that day comes.
Monday he was talking to Andrew Collins on BBC Radio 6 about “Good Day / Bad Day”. Andrew is filling in for Steve Lamacq, on the radio programme and played his all time favourite track - “I Want You” by Elvis Costello and The Attractions. As soon as this programme is podcasted I will download it for posterity.Actually i do like some of Elvis Costello's music myself and some of Iggy Pop's music as well.
On the same day i did a two hour stint "buddying" at the library , and Fran saw me there, and she did not know that i have been doing this computer buddying thing for them.
Tomorrow I will have have some “me” time, as I will be doing a mystery shop in Chatham, and I have decided to visit Maidstone, as well. I will be perusing charity shops to buy stock for selling online. Before that trip I will be posting about six items off from sales achieved recently.
I look forward to going back to Brighton for my next Northern Lights gig on Friday 22nd July. Proper music ,not the Indie shite Tim likes, and funky with it!
