Life Is A Drama
Jul. 9th, 2011 07:20 amI must admit that a scintilla of doubt crept over me pertaining to the hospital situation of my cousin's abandoned meeting with his consultant on Thursday. Yesterday he seemed to develop a stomach bug, and perhaps this louche façade he exudes melted away in the added pain of some undefined sickness. Without much prolix and discursive prose, he was looking unwell last night.
Perhaps there is a lacuna in my reading of the situation anyway, vis-a-vis his broken knuckles, and that his demeanour Friday is symptomatic of his drink addiction. Time will tell.
Finished the first autobiographical book by Stephen Fry this morning “Moab Is My Washpot” which I picked up for 50p in Seaford and now sold online via Play Trade. I still yet to finish his second autobiographical tome “The Fry Chronicles”, currently about halfway in it.
That Gunter Kallman Choir LP I found in a Faversham charity shop also sold last night to a guy in Germany. Since the group comes from the said country it does seem like I am selling coals to Newcastle.
We have been watching the drama series “The Kennedys” on BBC2. Last night it reached the Cuban missile crisis and the killing of JFK in Dallas,Texas. It made me think of the conspiracy theories that mutated from whether it was a lone gunman or some other shooter from the grassy knoll that put the final bullet into the president. Aside from these mutterings, it is good telly drama.
Tonight it is the wonderful Wallander series on BBC4 and next Thursday the return of Torchwood. I am glad that superb series is back!
