Book Finds
Feb. 13th, 2012 07:54 pmThis mid morning I took a bus ride over to Eastbourne and perused the charity shops. I found a Henning Mankell book that isn't based around the detective Wallander, and a bargain in Waterstones in their sale.
These are the charity finds -
Henning Mankell “A Bridge To The Stars” (Andersen Press)
Michael Chabron “Wonder Boys” (Fourth Estate)
Charles Dickens “Oliver Twist” (Penguin)
and the bargain in Waterstones was a hardback, originally at £15, down to 99 pence -
Ronald Mallett with Bruce Henderson “The Time Traveller, One Man's Mission To Make Time Travel A Reality” (Doubleday)
A book about growing up poor, racism, being black and becoming a physicist and interested in the possibility of time travel. Biographical information here -
