This morning did my stint down the library and helped one guy with an attachment problem on his emails.

An engineer has fixed the ATM outside the Co-op. See how long it will last this time.

Doing the remaining charity shop visits tomorrow, as well as a couple of visits in Ashford.

These are the books I bought yesterday -

John Steinbeck “Of Mice And Men” (Penguin)
Peter Ackroyd “Hawksmoor” (Penguin)
John LeCarre “The Looking Glass War” (Sceptre)
Jo Nesbo “The Snowman” (Vintage)
Michael Palin “Himalaya” (BBC)
Michael Palin “Full Circle, A Pacific Journey” (BBC)
Daniel Mason “The Piano Tuner” (Picador)
Sarah Waters “The Little Stranger” (Virago)
Stephen Fry “The Star's Tennis Balls” (Arrow)
Michael Wood “A South Indian Journey” (Penguin)
Bruce Chatwin “The Song Lines” (Picador)
Joseph O'Connor “The Star Of The Sea” (Vintage)
Sebastian Barry “The Secret Scripture” (Faber)
Paul Gogarty “The Coast Road” (Robson Books)

Some will be read and others resold.
jazzy_dave: (shady day)
I hadn't realised that today was World Book Day and consequently missed out. However, I do feel that the upcoming World Book Night in April is more important and that a number of books, 25 in all, published specially for the night, will be given free. That is something that, as far as I am aware of, World Book Day cannot do.

I support the Dog's Trust, and the quarterly Wag magazine arrived today with raffle tickets to be drawn in June. With the magazine there was an update on the dog I sponsor called Spot. (the resemblance between the dog and my cousin is unfounded, if you should ask).Come to think of it, whenever my cousin sings it reminds me a dog howling.
