It is sad to hear that Intoxica, Portobello Road, London, is closing in June due to hiked up rents. There is definitely a lack of high-end record shops in the UK. Intoxica, has, one of the most impressive selections of vinyl collections I have seen
I know the place was considered pricey but they have records you'd struggle to find elsewhere. There are too many record shops full of records nobody wants in the uk which as my days of a collector progress I am becoming increasingly less inclined to go digging in what I see as another 'boring' random record shop chock full of chuff and overpriced mojo albums which is what most of them are.
