Spot's Birthday Bash

Last night was Tim's birthday party at the Dover Castle Inn. He was given a bottle of whisky from Kate and Kev, and Phil supplied a mega cheese and biscuit selection with pate and other bits.

He was well drunk. I was the stoic cousin in arms making sure he got home safely. We both tried little Steve's lethal absinthe at 70 % proof! Silly sod downed in one. I just sipped at it.

The Monday Malfunction

Well, it has been a wet end to the holiday period, a damp squid on things. Suffice to say, that the festivities from the previous night has catalyzed a downward spiral into inebriation again for my cousin.

Started this morning with him opening the bottle of whisky from Kev and Kate, and then after I made lunch, him going to see Ali with the bottle now half full, and again, boredom (so he says) with him going up to the pub. He could only afford a half pint but I bet you anything others will supply him with booze. I wash my hands of the whole affair.

Interesting documentary on “Modern Spies” this evening, which generally, is more closer to the world of George Smiley than to James Bond. I must catch up with the previous episode of this two part documentary by Peter Taylor.

Watched a couple of episodes of The Big Bang Theory on TV, both from the fourth season, which I have yet to receive through the post. I have escalated the complaint with Play to get my money back from the affiliate.
