Relationships can be weird a times..

Cousin's friends Kev and Kate, Ali and Emily , for example, come to mind, one normal and the other was until now a ménage a trois. Kate whose maiden name is McKinnell and married to Kev is the normal one, Ali is her brother, former lead singer of Electrasy. Ali and Emily got married in the USA, as she is am American. But whilst they lived out in California Ali had a taste for the drink and drugs, particularly cocaine. OK fine up to a point but not on a daily basis.

Emily and Ali are now split up, and she has changed back to her maiden name of Hunter. The reason is ,apart from the ménage a trois here in the village, Ali could not get his pecker to stand up, hence Emily looking for sex elsewhere. Even Ali admits to the drugs and drinks he had whilst out in L.A. giving him what is euphemistically called brewer's droop. It must be hard on him, or in his case, not a hard on.

Moral of the story, if you like your coke don' t do too much or suffer from a flaccid Percy Pointer!

Joking aside, erectile dysfunction is a serious problem. I am glad I don't have it, ladies, hence Jazzy D is pumped for action!

A mixed bag of a day, like a game of football it had two halves. Morning was crap. First of all I go to get money out at the ATM machine at the Co-op here in the village to have my card returned but no money with the damn machine failing once again. A quick trip over to Faversham to to my bank this morning to action it, with them contacting the Co-op bank to confirm the problem and getting my cash back, which if it was like last time, up a week to resolve.

Then the heel of one of my shoes came away , and I had to find a decent pair in a chazzer. Got some nice black leather ones for six quid. Picked up my reserved book from the Faversham, Society shop, , The Pick of Punch (Folio Society) in a lovely slip case for three pounds.

The weather was damn awful as well, which didn't help.

Afternoon, or the second half of the day (or football match) was brighter and sunnier, if very blustery , as I alighted in Sittingbourne to do my stint at Avanta, and hence got the bus fare paid. Afterwards, looked around some chazzers to see if I could find anything of interest, and found two spanking new paperbacks for a quid on a buy one get cheapest free offer in the Cancer Research shop.

These were -

David Nicholls “One Day” (Hodder & Stoughton)
Henning Mankell “The Dogs Of Riga” (Vintage)

I loved the Wallander TV series, (not the Brannagh version for the BBC, the original Swedish TV version) and this will be my first Wallander novel. I still yet to read the Jo Nesbo book.

Finally , a big word up for my brother who has helped in a big way.

Look forward to May 19th at the Dover Castle, but we have come to realise it clashes with the European cup final with Chelsea reaching it, and Spot really wants to watch it, thus missing out on the Creole food night. We need somebody who can record the game on Sky so that cousin does not miss out on Phil's tasty food.
