Oh Balls!

Last night the mains adaptor unit to my laptop failed. The lead from the mains to the central heavy block is fine, but it is the connecting lead from that block to the laptop which seems to be at fault.

Consequently, I am unable to power up my laptop unless I borrow Tim’s power unit as it seems to fit and work just as well. This will mean we will need to his unit (not the laptop) for Saturday evening.

Not only that, but for some reason, when I load up Virtual DJ it freezes when it gets to the graphics loader section of the programme, freezing me out of anything else. I have had to delete it from my hard drive and look around for a similar freeware product. I found one called Mixxx and seems to be just fine, although it works in a different way, which I will have to get use to, it will do the job for Saturday. Ideally , I prefer Virtual DJ, but will have to get the handle of Mixxx for now.
