A beautiful sunny day for my Charity Shop Challenge (CSC) here in the garden of England, Kent. Local area is not great for top record finds, but apart from one shop in Rainham, I did okay. The challenge is to get as many decent records for a tenner.
First port of call was Faversham, just a few miles from Teynham, and I decided to walk down to Teynham station and go by train.

The first place I visit had a few slabs of vinyl outside and they were only 25 pence each.It is known as Your Shop.

Total cost £2
Various Artists - Scandal Soundtrack Album Parlophone)
The Mamas & The Papas - Golden Greats (MCA) whih has "California Earthquake", a vg+ classic groove
Loose Ends - So Where Are You? (Virgin)
Eek A Mouse - The Mouse And The Man (Greensleeves)
The Nashville Sound 70 and The Gems - Dream baby (RCA)
The Creatures - Feast (Polydor)
Various Artists - Hits 69 (Polydor) - some great tracks here such as Cream "Badge", Marsha Hunt's version of "Walk On Gilded Splinters", and King Koss version of "Spinning Wheel" .
Various Artists - Black Music (Ronco)
Next charity shop down Preston Street is the one for the Kent Air Rescue Ambulance Service.(That is the one which says Seaside on the shop banner).

Not much here but i did dig out one LP for a quid ,The Most Of Lulu (Music For Pleasure) , as it does have the soulful stormer "Love Loves To Love Love", a track i have spun before at gigs.

So then i walked down West Street to three other charity owlets. The Pilgrims Hospice, RSPCA and Cancer Research/

Nothing in the Cancer Research shop but one LP from Pilgrims for 30 pence and two in RSPCA shop for 50p each.
These are respectively -
Various Artists - Easy Listening (Polydor) , that is the one with Gunter Kallman "Daydream" track
Norrie Paramour - The Girl With The Most Beautiful Eyes (BBC) with "Mah-Na Mah-Na" on it.
Bert Kaempfert - The Most beautiful Girl" (Circle Of Sound)
Total cost now £3.30
So it was time to travel to Sittingbourne and see what, if any, i could find in this town.

Another Kent Air Ambulance chazzer, but whilst it had vinyl nothing much at all for diggers.

No vinyl at all here

Same with this one.

This one did have some vinyl but very little and all Mrs. Mills or other such crap.

This was a nit better. Found a James Bond Collection (United Artists) double vinyl LP for £1.50

Probably the best of the bunch.Lots of vinyl priced at a quid for LP's down to 45p for a single.Bought the following -
Alfons and Aloys Kontarsky "Ravel, Debussy Four Hand Paino Music" (Deutsche Grammophon) another double vinyl LP
Was Not Was - Shake Your Head (Fontana 12")
Thelma Houston - Don't Leave Me This Way (Motown)
Pussycat - Do It (Sonet)
Cleveland Eaton & The Garden Of Eaton - I'm Lonely Tonight (Miracle)
Total cost now £7.60
Finally on to Rainham, which strictly is not in Swale but part of Medway.

All three charity shops here had some vinyl but nothing to entice me , and it seems that the record shop no longer has any freebies. It was then time to go home for dinner. Rainham was a disappointment.
So final spend was £7.60 with £3 spent on another Subway sandwich deal.
